Shopping online can be overwhelming at times. Not joking at all! While traditional shopping can be tiresome as well and requires raiding the shops for one desired item, online shops give us a hell of a time choosing the right dress sizes without the trials. I mean sure some shops allow you to do virtual trials for eye accessories but what about clothes? Online women’s clothing shopping is different and difficult. When you mess your size up, you have to return it and wait till you get your perfect size. And don’t get even me started about faulty clothing items. That is another messy situation.
Does that mean we women should stop buying African print women’s clothing from online stores? Not really. But we can certainly keep things in mind before getting ourselves busy with virtual shopping. Here are a bunch of tips that can help you with online shopping whether you are an absolute pro or a newbie.
1. Knowing your size
I can see you rolling your eyes and saying, “isn’t it obvious?”. It is obvious but pray tell, how many of us actually bother measuring ourselves before we shop online? Measure your bust, waist, and hips before starting your online shopping journey. Measuring earlier can help you get the actual dress for your exact size. After successfully tracking your measurements, keep a mental note. If you are forgetful like me, jot down the sizes in your notebook so that you can find them out for later use.
2. Analyze the online brands
Every different clothing line has different information about their clothes. Running a quick analysis on women’s clothing websites is highly encouraged. This will help you get an idea of what to look for. Knowing the sizing information can be a lifesaver when you are literally spending your precious bucks on outfits you can’t even try on. Before you start adding clothes to your shopping cart, make sure you know the store’s sizing policies.
3. Misses and Juniors
Some online stores sell Misses and Juniors sizes. Misses is the most common sizing for women’s clothing, and uses even numbers as the size numbers like 2, 4, 6, 8, etc. Misses clothes have wide bust and hips sizes compared to the Juniors.
Junior clothing is for women with smaller frames – smaller hips and bust sizes. If you are looking for a more tomboyish look, you can absolutely shop from Juniors for more trendy looking clothes.
4. Buy more than one outfits
This tip will save you time as well as some money. Depending on where you live, the shipping and delivery charges will be deducted every time you shop, so why pay the charges twice when you can buy a handful of clothing at one go? Next time you buy, buy all at once. You will notice how many dollars you have saved do this. Thank me later!
Keeping the tips in mind should make your online shopping easier. You might not get everything right at first attempt but as you keep shopping you will gather knowledge about sizes and policies more. Beware, you might also get a hang of it!
